The Bahamas U20 Women’s National Team has been announced to participate in the Concacaf U20 Women’s Championship Qualifiers taking place in Curacao from April 14-23, 2023. The roster consists of a strong and talented group of young players, selected to represent their country in the prestigious regional event:
U20 Women’s National Team: Brianna Capron, Jada Thelmour, Jade Thelamour, Shasta Saunders, Gabrielle Murphy, Julia Raine, Alexis Williamson, Diane Maillis, Rokesia Sands, Dalexis Huyler, Valtinique Simmons, Raynia Russel, Antonicia Moultrie, Kyra Miller, Morgan Komalfe, Kailyn Bonimy, Brineka Dorsett, Mia Underwood, Lyric Saunders, Liah Rae Tucker, Nicole Bowleg
Staff: Ricqea Bain- Head Coach, Phylicia Sargent- Assistant Coach, Shenika Johnson- Manager, Karen Wert- Physiotherapist, Soraya Toppin-Herbert- Director of Women’s Football.
The Director of Women’s Football commented on the team’s potential: “This group of young women possess great talent and determination. Their participation in the tournament is an excellent opportunity to showcase their abilities on the regional stage.”
Head Coach Ricqea Bain discussed the team’s preparation: “The players have been diligently preparing for this event, honing their skills and developing as a team. They are eager to compete and make a strong impression during the qualifiers.”
Brianna Capron, a player from the team also shared her thoughts: “We are thrilled for the chance to represent our country and demonstrate our skills in the competition. Our focus is on giving our best effort in the qualifiers and making our nation proud.”
The Bahamas U20 Women’s National Team is ready to take on the challenge of the Concacaf U20 Qualifiers in Curacao. With the support and guidance of Director of Women’s Football Soraya Toppin-Herbert and Head Coach Ricqea Bain, the team is poised to make a lasting impact in the competition.
