The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) proudly announces the Men’s and Women’s National Beach Soccer Teams set to compete in the ANOC World Beach Games Qualifier in El Salvador from April 4-6, 2023.
The qualifying event will see the top beach soccer teams from across the globe come together in El Salvador to compete for a chance to participate in the prestigious ANOC World Beach Games. This high-stakes competition will showcase the exceptional skill and athleticism of beach soccer players and provide a thrilling experience for fans and players alike.

Soraya Toppin-Herbert, Director of Women’s Football, expressed her enthusiasm for the teams’ potential, stating, “Our players have been working incredibly hard to represent The Bahamas on the international stage. We believe we have a strong chance at qualifying for the World Beach Games.” Her remarks emphasize the dedication and effort put forth by both teams in preparation for the event.
Technical Director Bruce Swan also shared his optimism for the event, saying, “We have a solid foundation and a dedicated group of players who are ready to showcase their skills in El Salvador. Both our Men’s and Women’s teams have been training rigorously to ensure top performance at the qualifiers.” Swan’s statement highlights the teams’ strong training regimen and commitment to success.
Women’s Coach Daria Adderley mentioned, “I am proud of the progress our Women’s team has made, and I am confident that they will give their all during the qualifiers.” Adderley’s remarks express confidence in the Women’s team’s ability to perform well in the upcoming competition.
Men’s Coach Alex Soares, added, “Our Men’s team is committed and prepared to face the challenges ahead. I believe they will make our country proud.”
Hadassah Knowles, a player from the Women’s team, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming competition: “It’s an honour to represent The Bahamas in such a prestigious event. We’re ready to give our best and make our nation proud.”
