Nassau, Bahamas – The Samuel P. Haven Jr. High School is excited to announce the dates for the 2024 Soccer Nationals, set to take place from April 25th to May 4th. This prestigious event, a collaboration between the Bahamas Football Association (BFA) and the Ministry of Education & Technical & Vocational Training (MOETVT), will see top high school teams from across The Bahamas competing for soccer supremacy.
Last year’s tournament featured stellar performances from teams hailing from New Providence, Grand Bahama, and Abaco. Defending girls’ champions, CR Walker Knights, and boys’ champions, Lyford Cay Dragons, are geared up to defend their titles in what promises to be an event filled with skill, passion, and exciting soccer play.
“The collaboration with the BFA and the Ministry of Education has been instrumental in elevating the standard and reach of this tournament,” said Carl Lynch, BFA Deputy General Secretary and Tournament Coordinator. “It’s more than just a game; it’s a platform for young talent to shine and for islands across The Bahamas to unite in celebrating the spirit of competition and the love for the game.”
This year’s tournament will span ten days, culminating in a final showdown where the champions will be crowned. Fans and supporters can expect a thrilling showcase of future soccer stars, exemplifying teamwork, determination, and exceptional athletic ability.
