The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) actively participates in both domestic and international competitions, giving our teams opportunities to excel and represent The Bahamas on the global stage. From beach soccer to traditional football, these tournaments shape the development of the sport in our country and allow our athletes to grow and compete at the highest levels.
Domestic Competitions
Local tournaments are vital to the growth of football in The Bahamas. They provide an exciting platform for teams and players to compete, sharpen their skills, and entertain football fans.
Youth Tournaments
Youth development is a priority for the BFA, and these tournaments give young athletes a chance to showcase their talents:

Dawn N. Knowles Primary School Soccer Tournament
In partnership with the Ministry of Education and the New Providence Primary School Sports Association, this tournament gives primary school teams the chance to compete and develop their football skills.

Samuel P. Haven High School Soccer Nationals
Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, this national high school tournament promotes competition and sportsmanship among teams from across The Bahamas.

Hummel Cup
One of The Bahamas' premier domestic tournaments, the Hummel Cup brings together top local clubs for intense competition. It’s a highlight on the local football calendar and showcases some of the best football talent in the nation.

Nassau Beach Soccer Tournament
A fast-paced, exciting beach soccer tournament held annually in Nassau. This competition sees local teams battling it out in a sport that continues to gain popularity in The Bahamas.
International Competitions

Beach Soccer

FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
The Bahamas has the honor of having hosted the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in 2017, a major global event that showcased our country as a leader in beach soccer. Our teams continue to compete in this prestigious tournament.

CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships
Our national beach soccer team competes in this important regional championship. The Bahamas hosted the 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships, where our men’s team earned an impressive 4th place finish.

Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW)
As part of the global beach soccer circuit, our teams regularly compete in BSWW events. One of the standout tournaments we host is the Bahamas Beach Soccer Cup, which attracts elite teams from around the world.

ANOC World Beach Games
Competing at the ANOC World Beach Games allows our beach soccer teams to represent The Bahamas on a global stage, facing off against top teams from various nations.

FISU World University Championship Beach Sports
This international tournament features university athletes from around the world competing in various beach sports, including beach soccer. Bahamian athletes have had the opportunity to represent their country on this prestigious stage, gaining valuable international experience while competing at a high level.

CONCACAF Nations League
The Bahamas competes in the CONCACAF Nations League, a regional tournament that offers valuable match experience and serves as a stepping stone to greater success on the world stage.

CONCACAF Qualifiers
Our men’s national team regularly participates in the CONCACAF Qualifiers for tournaments such as the Gold Cup and FIFA World Cup, challenging some of the strongest teams in the region.

CONCACAF Road to Women’s Gold Cup
Our Women’s National Team competes in the Road to the Women’s Gold Cup, aiming to secure a spot in this premier tournament by facing top teams from across the region.

Olympics

The dream of representing The Bahamas in Olympic football continues to drive our national teams. Although we haven't qualified yet, competing at the Olympic Games remains a top priority for our football development programs.
