THE Samuel P Haven 2018 National Soccer Championships, are presented by the IL Cares Foundation. The tournament continued yesterday at the Roscow A L Davies Soccer Field, highlighted by the official opening ceremony attended by members of the Haven family, government and Bahamas Football Association officials.
MINISTER of Youth, Sports and Culture Michael Pintard, during his speech at the official opening
ceremony yesterday, told the student athletes to take full advantage of the opportunity and exposure the event continues to present.
“You must not only be amazing on the field but also amazing in the classroom.
“Sports is also good for developing a healthy lifestyle. We want you to take these lessons back into the communities you came from and encourage you to continue to be role models, excellent athletes and well rounded citizens.”
