BFA Hosts FIFA Amateur Football Environment Analysis (AFEA) Presentation
Nassau, The Bahamas– May, 10, 2026- The Bahamas Football Association hosted a presentation of the country findings from the FIFA Amateur Football Environment Analysis (AFEA) on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
The findings were presented by FIFA Regional Technical Consultants David Abdul and Ian Greenwood, who shared insights into the current amateur football environment in The Bahamas and areas for further development.
The session brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education, BFA clubs, the BFA Council and staff, the Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools (BAISS), the Government Secondary Schools Sports Association (GSSSA) and the New Providence Primary Schools Sports Association (NPPPSSA).
Following the presentation, stakeholders participated in an interactive project-development session designed to address identified shortfalls. Working in groups, participants used FIFA’s Building Block template to develop potential projects around four areas: players, initiatives, organisers and support.
The session provided an opportunity for football and education stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify areas for collaboration and consider practical initiatives to support the continued development of amateur football throughout The Bahamas.
