The Bahamas Women’s Beach Soccer Programme recently completed a nine-day closed training camp and scrimmage series on January 19 to 27 against the USA Women’s Beach Soccer Programme at the Beach Soccer Stadium in Malcolm Park.
The sessions formed part of an ongoing evaluation and selection process for both programmes, providing players with valuable international exposure and a high-intensity competitive environment. Across three scrimmages held during the camp, the Bahamian squad was tested against a more established programme, offering clear benchmarks in pace, decision-making, and tactical execution.
Despite the results, the camp delivered important positives for The Bahamas, including improved organization, increased confidence in possession, and valuable learning moments for several emerging players. The technical staff used the matches to assess player readiness, combinations, and areas requiring continued development as the programme builds toward future international competition.
The Bahamas Football Association extends thanks to the USA programme for the collaboration and to all players and staff who participated in a productive and instructive camp.
