It has been an up-and-down 18 months for the Baha Boyz. Mixed in between losses to Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica in CNLQ was a shining light for Bahamas: a 6-1 friendly win versus Turks and Caicos. The win made it clear that the Bahamas on their best day are a force to be reckoned with, but the puzzle for head coach Nesley Jean is figuring out how to get the team to play that way every time they take the field.
Bahamas share a group with Bonaire and the British Virgin Islands, and the Baha Boyz can smell a ticket to League B if they come out the way they did in that friendly. Terry Delancy, who played college soccer for the University of South Florida for four years, scored a hat-trick in that match against Turks and Caicos, but is usually more of a table-setter than a pure goalscorer.

But that doesn’t mean the team is lacking in scorers; Lesly St. Fleur has been a force to be reckoned with in the Jamaican Premier League for Montego Bay for over half a decade now, and 20-year-old Ricardo McPhee looks like the next export to a stronger Caribbean league.
Meanwhile, the defense is young and hungry, with a back line of almost exclusively 21 and 22 year olds that featured in CNLQ, giving them experience prior to starting action in League C.
Group B will be ultra-competitive, and if the team that beat Turks and Caicos shows up to their matches this fall, the Bahamas have a great chance at promotion.
