Bahamas took a big step towards winning promotion and a place in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup qualifiers with a 3-0 victory over the visiting British Virgin Islands at the Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau.
In a frantic opening period that saw both sides get good chances, Marcel Joseph opened the scoring for the home side in the ninth minute with a nice long-range effort.

In the second half the British Virgin Islands held strong defensively, but the Nature Boyz couldn’t pull anything back. Bahamas keeper Dwayne Whylly played a big part in that, with five saves on the day.
The victory puts Bahamas three points ahead of Bonaire heading into their final showdown on Sunday.
