The Bahamas Football Association’s Beach Soccer Women’s National Team is off to San Luis la Herradura, El Salvador to compete in the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup.
Competition for team Bahamas begins on Thursday against the home team, El Salvador, in the Costa Del Sol Stadium. They follow their opening match with games against powerhouses Argentinz and the United States of America.
The contingent is headed by head coach Daria Adderley who has been working with the young squad for the past few months. Staying fit and not sustaining injuries will be the key for team Bahamas if they intend to advance in the tournament.
The coaching team are fielding a younger team as they transition to the new generation of national team players.
The players on the team are Gabriell Murphy, Hadassah Knowles, Angel Williams, Rondrica Paul, Gina Stubbs, Janeka Edey, Nia Hall, Brianna Capron, Jada Thelamour and Jade Thelamour.
Joining Adderley on the management team are Soraya Toppin-Herbert, DWFD; Jodei Clarke, team manager/Assistant Coach and Karen Wert, the physiotherapist.
The team returns home on Sunday.
