At their final game against Turks and Caicos, the U-15 Boys National Team comes out victorious.
It was a tough and nerve-racking match and the boys were working tirelessly to secure another win. The team had already played two games, and kept a record of one win and one loss. They were determined to take another win home.
At the sound of the half time whistle, the score was settled at 0-0. When they returned, the team walked onto the field with their heads high because this was not the end for them. The second half commenced and it was just as brutal as the first forty-five (45) minutes.
Three minutes left in the game and both teams are putting in their all. Then finally, Matthew Beneby, Center Defender for team Bahamas, scored the first goal of the match. The team, coaches and supporting fans roared with excitement.
There were still two minutes left and the boys knew that anything could happen. They displayed great defensive skills, and kept the opposing team from scoring. At the sound of the final whistle, the team shouted at the top of their lungs as the feeling of having achieved a great accomplishment rushed through their bodies.
The U-15 Boys National Team walked away with a 1-0 win over Turks and Caicos and were proudly cheered on from everyone around them, and even support back home.
