After graduating from The University of The Bahamas, BFA Alumni, Christopher Godet, got the opportunity to soar high in Italy. While in Italy, he studied at The American University of Rome, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Sports Management in 2019. During the course of his journey, he was able to learn more about soccer tactics, fundamentals and basic principles that all players need to know.
Godet, after having such a stellar performance throughout his tertiary education, was invited to work as an intern for the upcoming year. During this time, he will be able to put exactly what he learned into practice as an aspiring coach, while getting the full hands-on experience. He will be learning the language and ways of coaching at the Soccer Management Institute Academy. In addition to that, he will be working along side Fiorentina Serie A Women’s coach, Antonio Cincotta, to help with lesson planning, fitness and game preparation .
Godet lives by the quote “If it is to be, it is up to me” meaning if he wants something to happen, it is up to him to make it happen. It is believed that there are many platforms to obtain success however, if one is not willing to do what it takes then he/she will not reap the benefits of success.
