NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) proudly welcomed Concacaf President Victor Montagliani to The Bahamas for a two-day visit on May 7–8, 2025, as part of his regional outreach ahead of the upcoming FIFA Congress.
President Montagliani met with BFA President Anya James, General Secretary Frederick H. Lunn, and the BFA Council to discuss strategic plans for football development, regional collaboration, and future hosting opportunities across The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
The visit also included a high-level meeting with The Honourable Mario Bowleg, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Culture, where discussions centered on enhancing football infrastructure and creating more pathways for youth and elite players throughout the country.
During his stop at the BFA’s Beach Soccer Stadium headquarters, President Montagliani received updates on key facility projects and shared words of encouragement following The Bahamas’ successful hosting of the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship earlier this year.
“We are honored to have hosted President Montagliani,” said BFA President Anya James. “His visit reaffirms Concacaf’s confidence in our federation and our collective commitment to advancing football in The Bahamas.”
The BFA looks forward to building on the momentum of this visit as it continues to invest in grassroots programs, player development, and international partnerships.
