Nassau, Bahamas – The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) successfully hosted part 1 of the Concacaf C License Coaching Course from August 25–30, 2025, bringing together a diverse group of coaches at Roscow A. L. Davies Soccer Field and the Beach Soccer Stadium.
The six-day leg featured both classroom instruction and on-field practical sessions, equipping participants with essential tools to deliver quality training environments for young players. Attendees represented a broad cross-section of Bahamian football, including different islands, school systems, and community clubs, reflecting the nationwide commitment to raising coaching standards.
The student coaches are now in the development period where they will practice what they learned and then will be assessed
BFA Technical Director Bruce Swan highlighted the significance of the program:
“This course is about building capacity. Every coach who completes the C License brings back knowledge and structure that strengthens their clubs, schools, and communities. It’s a step forward for grassroots development and the overall growth of football in The Bahamas.”
The Concacaf C License is designed to ensure consistent coaching standards across the region, emphasizing player-centered development, age-appropriate training, and technical understanding of the game. By providing local coaches with access to these tools, the BFA continues to expand its pool of certified leaders who can guide the next generation of players.
The BFA expressed gratitude to Concacaf for its ongoing support and to the local instructors and facilitators who delivered the course with energy and expertise.
